We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage the flow of our goods and services. The role involves monitoring, controlling, and updating the progress of incoming supplier shipments from various regions, including the Far East, EU, and UK. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for domestic shipping arrangements and will play a key role in improving stock control and managing external storage facilities.
Day to Day of the Role:- Monitor and control the progress of incoming shipments via sea, air, and land.
- Serve as the point of contact for arranging domestic shipping, including UPS, pallet, and courier services.
- Implement improvements in stock control and location replenishment.
- Manage transfers and direct shipments from external 3rd party storage facilities.
- Ensure documentation is prepared and checked to meet customs and insurance requirements.
- Confirm commodity code classification for incoming orders to ensure accurate duty payments.
- Arrange customs clearance for all inbound shipments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payment of freight and other charges.
- Utilize technology for real-time tracking of goods.
- Conduct rolling stock-takes through the system.
- Provide an accurate delivery schedule to coordinate across departments.
- Organize internal work orders and control the stock picking process systematically.
- Review and amend import entries for any irregularities.
- Act as the point of contact for supplier returns via the RMA system.
- Maintain company systems, ensuring MRP/ERP/CRM systems are updated with accurate information.
- Participate in compliance with EU directives such as WEEE, Packaging Waste, Batteries, etc.
- Knowledge of logistic processes including sea, air, freight forwarding, and customs.
- Proficiency in using MRP/ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar.
- Experience with stock movements, stock counts, and work/transfer orders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
