Logistics Administrator

We have a brand-new role available with our client in Deeping St James! Due to growth and expansion our client is looking for an experienced individual to join their team in the newly created position of Logistics Administrator. If you have a solid administration background and are a confident decision maker, then we want to hear from you! This is an exciting and team-based position that would suit someone familiar with WMS/ERP systems.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

• Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests.
• Route plan and schedule ad hoc deliveries on our own vehicle service.
• Handles distribution to ensure that goods are delivered on time.
• Booking in deliveries with customers to ensure optimal delivery arrangements.
• Monitor carrier systems to ensure customers' orders are on track for delivery.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets for customer/company reports.
• Work with recruitment companies to hire drivers as and when required.
• Prepare delivery and dispatch paperwork as required.
• Respond quickly and effectively to customer enquiries through multiple shared inboxes.
• Handle incoming calls from internal and external customers.

Previous experience in a logistics or transport background is advantageous but not essential. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and have strong organisation skills. The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines is also required.
