Your new role
The Logistics Import Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day import operation, involving liaising with overseas suppliers to ensure the seamless delivery of products into the UK warehouse. You will also manage all couriers and logistics partners to ensure that products are sent out to customers reliably and in a timely manner - this will email everything from negotiating contracts and pricing, monitoring performance, and ensuring service delivery for peak delivery periods.
You will also build relationships with suppliers to ensure that the very best quotes are received for all imports, as well as liaising with shipping agents to ensure accurate information is provided and so that freight can be imported without issues via air or sea. Working proactively, you will try to source new delivery and logistics services across Europe and ROW countries to allow better access to a wider customer network.
What you\'ll need to succeed

• Previous experience as an Import Coordinator / Import Clerk, ideally within an e-commerce or retail company rather than a freight forwarder
• Good understanding of import operations and documentation
• Confident working with shipping agents / courier partners and able to negotiate on pricing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel
