We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a well established thriving business based in Redditch. It's a 12 month fixed term contract but potential for permanent for the right candidate.Working as part of the Supply Chain Team, you will monitor and improve the Supply Chain performance by optimising logistic activities. This includes: cooperation with suppliers, inventory control and stock management. You will be involved in providing a best in class customer service to Customers.The role will also include stock optimisation and involvement in future logistical projects and to manage and enhance all aspects of Customer Service in the division.The Logistics Coordinator key duties include:-
- Maintaining the Supply Chain from suppliers to customers including inbound and outbound transportation, customs, cross-dock operations, incoming inspection, etc.
- Building good working relationships cross-functionally with internal and external customers.
- Taking part in Supply Chain, stock management and Customer projects as appropriate.
- Supply Chain Key Account for key customers, leading and participating in the Supply Chain Collaborative meetings analysing the Service Rate and Back orders with clear action plans in place with regular meetings. Reviewing and analysing any SLA's that are active.
- To participate in the monthly demand planning meetings and alerting on areas for concern.
- Analysis of costs and review of monthly transport cost gaps.
- Creating reports on stock levels, stock levels etc and look into reasons why orders not fulfilled.
- Strong administration experience ideally with analysis experience
- Strong Excel skills at least intermediate - using pivot tables and v look ups regularly
- SAP experience would be a distinct advantage
- Customer account management or service experience would also be advantageous
