We are recruiting for an excellent role with our client based in Norwich. The role requires someone with some experience of logistics administration or planning possibly, or someone with accuracy and attention to detail.
Role responsibilities
• Responsible for planning transport requirements each week.• Ensuring products are collected and delivered within specified timeframes.• Identify and resolve problems, queries and requests with hauliers and distribution centres whilst monitoring and reporting on performance.• Monitoring truck fill and utilisation, ensuring most cost effective transportation of goods at all times.• Recording of KPI's and other key information to monitor supplier performance• Maintain database of prices, haulier loads, monthly pallets, thermograph requests.• Knowledge of all transport routes into the UK, liaising with hauliers for most cost effective or appropriate routes.• Advising demand coordinators of any delays to inbound loads, flagging to Supply Chain Manager.• Advising Supply Chain Manager of any industrial action, weather conditions, etc. that will affect inbound loads.• Complete all relevant documents and supporting declarations to help importing clearance.
