Lab Solutions are recruiting for an established biotech who are looking to hire a permanent Logistics technician-Do you have an interest in science or worked in biotech?My client also has some great benefits,breaklast and lunch paid for at a good restaurant on site and a 10% bonus of base salary at the end of wevery year-very achievable targets!Role, Purpose and ObjectiveThe Logistics Technician is responsible for receiving goods and preparing shipments of sensitive biological materials and tracking movement of goods shipped across the world to our internal and external customers and collaborators by ensuring the goods are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way, to the right place at the right time.Core ResponsibilitiesOutgoing materials* Complete immediate training on handling and shipping dangerous goods (dry ice) & assist with shipping tasks such as prepping boxes and moving dry ice around.* Book, prepare & process outgoing materials (goods-out), coordinating with other team members. Includes, but not limited to: pick stock, affix shipping labels, verify information vs delivery notes, invoices, orders or any other records, prepare orders in compliance of IATA & International Customs regulations.* Track shipments until successful delivery for commercial clients, R&D teams and collaborators, interacting with couriers and clients to communicate timely and accurately on shipment and delivery status.Incoming materials* Receive and store materials (Goods-in). Daily scan delivery notes. Update ERP & all systems of record with info such as lot numbers & expiry dates, prioritising temperature sensitive products.* Call-offs from external storage locations to maintain desired levels of stock. Weekly cycle counts & issue purchase orders to keep the right level of inventory on site.* Answering the back door, checking, receiving deliveries and updating ERP and all systems of record.Internal material flows* Morning lab restocking on a daily basis: pick, update ERP & all systems of records timely and accurately and ensure appropriate materials flow between stores and lab areas.* LN2 collections & storage (H&S capacity). Assist with priority LN2 consolidations / stock count.* Rubbish sorting / disposals of expired products: keep stores, goods-in & loading areas clean, organised and obstruction free.If interested, apply immediately as my client is moving quickly
