Position Summary
Reporting to the Nominated Team Leader the Logistics Warehouse Operative role is to:
- Install UID barcodes onto selected items of equipment in accordance with instructions
- Data Reconciliation
- Supporting the Team Leader
Full training on the installation process will be given as well as instruction on the use of the laptop computer and the laser printers. All Team Members must be diligent and hardworking with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to maintain very high standards (of installation) at all times. Previous experience of military equipment and military sites would be beneficial.
Key requirements are:
- Individuals must be capable of working safely. All team members will be required to be personally aware of and comply with all safety standards in the workplace. As part of the Engage induction process individuals will be trained in relevant Health & Safety matters and informed as to their responsibilities when operating at client sites.
- Individuals must be able to work at an acceptable rate while maintaining a very high standard of accuracy. Team Leaders will have Quality Assurance responsibility as part of their role to ensure that the very highest standards are maintained.
- Individuals must be excellent ambassadors for Engage and Engage’s clients.
- Individuals must be able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Individuals must understand the quality requirements of the process and contribute to continuous improvement.
The installation process takes place mainly in Army Depots and within unit lines. As an Installation Team member, you will be required to work across the UK at UK MoD sites (travel and accommodation subsidised), you may also on occasion be asked to work abroad. Due to the security clearance for this task, roles will only be open to individuals form the UK.
Main commutable areas are Donnington, Bicester, Newbury and Andover.
Salary & Details
Salary for the Install Team members will be £25,500 per annum. Travel and subsistence will be paid weekly. Uniforms will be issued after 4 weeks satisfactory performance. This is a full-time fixed term position, but consideration will also be given to individuals who wish to work part time. Individuals will need to achieve a level of security vetting.
