This role is responsible for setting up and running a section of production line. Successful applicants will take responsibility for the health and safety, quality and performance of the machines.
In your new role as Machine Operator you will:
- Use safe working practices at all times;
- Check initial accuracy and quality of product and remedy any deviation from specification prior to start of job run;
- Set up/re-install production line through to finished product in the event of a job change or breakdown;
- Monitor and maintain efficient running of machine during job run;
- Identify all line equipment faults and rectify or report as appropriate;
- Make regular quality checks on product against customer specification;
- Working as a team with Packer/Operators within the production unit.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of operating machines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
- Proven experience of meeting deadlines;
- Ability to read and understand production plans and specification sheets;
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and at all levels, both internally and externally.
