Our client is currently recruiting a Maintenance Assistant within the engineering department in what will be a varied role where you will work alongside side the Production Team and shift engineers.
Shifts :
Days 7:00-16:30
Nights 20:30-06:00
Responsibilities
• Carry out checks as per CMMS schedule and update CMMS upon completion
• Conveyor maintenance work, belt repairs, renewing skirting and guarding
• Carry our plant modifications and improvements
• Attend and assist engineers with plant breakdowns
• Working at heights, use of MEWP’s training will be provided as required
• Use of hand and power tools will be required on some jobs
• Various other work as requested by supervisor or manager
Experience
• Candidates must have a knowledge of Health and safety within the workplace
• Must be willing to learn engineering practices
• Be willing to work both as an individual and as part of a team
• Have basic PC skills
• Have a flexible approach to working shifts and overtime as required
- Have previous experience working in a permitted environment.
- Must have a basic mechanical knowledge
