About the Trust
We deliver district general services to 2.5m residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and its surrounding communities. Our specialist services allow us to deliver care to 4.5m people from across the East Midlands and nationally for a handful of services. QMC is where our Emergency Department (ED), Major Trauma Centre and the Nottingham Children’s Hospital are based. It is also home to the University of Nottingham’s School of Nursing and Medical School. Nottingham City Hospital is our planned care site, where our cancer centre, heart centre and stroke services are based, and where some of our emergency admissions units are located. Ropewalk House is where we provide a range of outpatient services, including hearing services.
About the Role
We are looking for two Maintenance Assistants to join our friendly team at Queens Medical Centre. You will undertake general maintenance duties, in line with Trust policies and procedures. You must be willing to work on a variety of tasks. Undertake maintenance activities within an acute hospital setting in a timely and efficient manner.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
You will be part of the Facilities and Estates team carrying out a range of small-scale minor maintenance tasks. These duties will include:
· Clearing work areas, moving, and storing of equipment.
· Installation of prefabricated wooden screens to limit access to work areas
· General manual labour across the site.
· Removing furniture from offices & ward areas, Removing Blinds and re fitting to the windows, filling holes and painting opening and locking rooms for contractors.
Personal Specifications
· Happy working in a very physical role which includes heavy lifting.
· Painting experience advantageous.
· Comfortable using hand tools.
· Happy working in all weathers.
· Reliable and committed.
