SalaryRole: Maintenance Engineer
Contract Length: 18 months
Location: Reading (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote)
IR35: Inside IR35
Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Clearance: MUST be actively DV cleared
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on upkeep of all assets and equipment on site
- Identify and escalate business risks arising from the condition of engineered systems and structures
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality
- Be a great team player, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment
Ideal Requirements:
- HNC with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level
- Membership of an engineering institution
- A ‘doer’ rather than a manager
- Understand what a safety case is
- Engineering background
- Nuclear background/experience highly desirable
- Technical rather than management bias
- Maintenance experience
- Shortfall fixes/breakdown assessments
- On call breakdown checks
- Substantiation
- Compliance assessments
- There is no preference regarding field of engineering - Mechanical, electrical, C&I, Civil
