Working for a long standing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Norwich, you will be joining a highly skilled maintenance team working on a day shift pattern.
Your new role
As a skilled Maintenance Engineer you will assist the 26 strong engineering team with pre-planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of bindery and printing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime is experienced. You will be responsible for ordering and following up on parts, updating electronic logbooks, you will assess faulty machinery and diagnose swiftly whilst working closely with cross-functional teams. Where necessary you will liaise with contractors, raising site permits, you will ensure a smooth handover at shift end to night shift teams. This role is based on 12-hour days on a 4-week shift pattern, you will be required to work one weekend in 4, any overtime is paid at an enhanced rate.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will hold HND/HNC/ City & Guilds in an engineering discipline, have strong electrical and mechanical ability, be able to fault find, have knowledge of 3 phase, motors, converters, relays, pumps and motors. If you are more mechanically disciplined an 18th edition or recognised conversion course will be considered.
Experience gained within a manufacturing environment is preferred, strong communication skills to enable you to work closely with production, technical and health and safety teams. Good IT skills to ensure all maintenance is recorded accurately and logs are kept updated for opposing shift teams.
