We are working with an established plastic product manufacturer based in Wellingborough. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineerto join their team on a continental shift pattern in return for a salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 along with overtime opportunity and additional training and development.

The Maintenance Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic knowledge combined with some basic electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Following planned, preventative maintenance schedules
• Reacting quickly to machinery breakdowns
• Reading engineering drawings and schematics
• Mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair
• Basic electrical maintenance
• PLC fault finding
• Working with other departments to ensure production continues running
• Recording all work carried out

Qualifications & Experience required:

• City and Guilds / Level 2 or 3 qualification in Engineering
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
