Job Description: As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Bottling Plant. You will be responsible for maintaining production equipment to the highest standards, undertaking projects, installations, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and responding to breakdowns as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of production equipment.
* Utilise your expertise in 3-phase motors, drives, control systems, and PLC fault-finding to diagnose and rectify issues efficiently.
* Conduct maintenance on components such as belts, bearings, pumps, chains, and undertake fabrication tasks when necessary.
* Work collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Independently troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, making effective decisions to minimise downtime.
* Adhere to the designated shift pattern, typically working on a double day shift (6-2/2-10), with flexibility to accommodate business needs.
* Provide holiday cover as required to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
Requirements:
* Completion of an apprenticeship program with a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
* Possession of a recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.
* Proficiency in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is advantageous.
* Demonstrable skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on fault-finding and troubleshooting.
* Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and make effective decisions when required.
