Key Responsibilities
- Perform directed maintenance, servicing, administrative, and related tasks under the Maintenance Lead's guidance.
- Prioritize safety by conducting basic risk assessments, ensuring safe operations, and compliance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with departments to meet work priorities and client expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with employees and suppliers for timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and contractors.
- Assist the Maintenance Lead in problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 4 GCSE Grade C or equivalent, of which two should be Math and English.
- A working knowledge of Office 365, Viso, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of working with hazardous chemicals and materials, including associated risks.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the role, such as working at heights, handling dangerous substances, and working in explosive atmospheres.
- Basic proficiency in using tool craft equipment, including grinding and welding tools.
- Previous experience working in maintenance departments within chemical or potentially explosive atmosphere environments.
- Ability to understand technical drawings like electric plans and building plans, although not essential.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial but not required.
