We are seeking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and customer focused people to join our team at Tarka Leisure Centre in Barnstaple, North Devon and Ilfracombe Gym and Swimming Pool.
Tarka Leisure Centre is the most modern leisure facility in the North Devon locality and provides a 25m swimming pool, 20m training pool, sports hall, state of the art gym, spin studio and 2 x group exercise studios and indoor ski facility as well as the current indoor and outdoor tennis courts and all weather pitch.

Main Duties

• Responsible for the daily running of the Sites Plant rooms
  
• Fault diagnosis
  
• To take responsibility for all contractors on site carrying out any repair/maintenance work
  
• Travel between centres to carry out duties
  
• Carry out environmental responsible person duties
  
• Ensure statutory compliance is adhered to and update relevant platforms
  

The Person

• The post holder will have good working knowledge of pool filtration and plant management.
  
• Additional skill sets such as plumbing, electrical would be an advantage
  
• Must be able to gain acceptance and respect from clients and the teams involved.
  
• Must be able to build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees.
  
• Must be able to communicate at different levels of the organisation.
  
• Must be able to meet the demands of the role by working additional hours when required.
  
• Must be able to demonstrate clear identification with all customer requirements.
  
• Ability to work as part of a team, but also on their own.
  
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
