We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to be part of our existing hotel maintenance team and be responsible for the maintenance across the whole hotel. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to inspire and lead the team.
This opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the existing long term Maintenance Manager.

The position is for a full time manager working 40 hours, 5 days per week primarily Monday to Friday, however you would be expected to come out if you were called to an emergency or potential issues at the weekend.
Role Summary
The main tasks would include but are not limited to:
- Take full responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance issues that arise in the hotel, ensuring the safety of both our guests and staff
- Be hands on working on fixing issues and improvements alongside your team, with great attention to detail
- Ensure maintenance schedules and procedures are followed and up to date to ensure the safety of all guests and staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Manage external contractors on the property
- Support HOD's to ensure teams are correctly trained in the use of equipment and health and safety standards in the hotel.
- Supervise and co ordinate the activities of maintenance personnel on site, including your own team and contractors
- Manage and prioritize maintenance requests from departments in the hotel to ensure maximum safety and satisfaction to our guests.
- Regular inspections of the hotels physical facilities addressing any issues or potential hazards
- Comply with all relevant legislation
- Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment , negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Report to the Operations Manager and General Manager
Ideally candidates should have:
- Minimum of 4 years experience of maintenance in a hotel or similar property.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent knowledge of fire, life safety standards in a large property
- Technical skill or qualification such as plumbing, electrician, or a skill relating to the maintenance industry
