You’ll take up this exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled electrical technicians to ensure the successful execution of planned and reactive maintenance programs.
Additionally, you will offer managerial support to Water Production teams throughout our Kent region. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the maintenance of plant and equipment across our water treatment facilities, pumping stations, and reservoirs to ensure the seamless operation of our supply network.
With a background in industrial maintenance, strong electrical expertise, and a flair for inspiring others, you will play a key role in shaping our maintenance strategy.
You will be responsible for managing operational incidents, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and prioritizing tasks effectively. There is a requirement to work as part of a managerial standby rota to oversee the response to incidents. Your systematic and organised approach will drive performance and deliver successful outcomes.

What will you mainly be responsible for delivering?
- Embed a strong health and safety culture within the team, ensuring safe people and safe working at all times in line with our Thrive365 stratgey.
- Be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across our sites.
- Help to review and develop our maintenance strategy, processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the scheduling and prioritisation of maintenance activity.
- Performance manage, develop and fully engage the team in order to maximise efficiency, effictiveness and reliability of the service provided to customers.
- Work with other Production managers to analyse site performance, reliability and water quality to ensure regulatory requirements are being met and the optimisation of performance.
- Be able to participate in an out of hours rota; taking the lead on production activities during operational incidents and escalating issues when necessary.
- Source specialist equipment and contractors to assist the delivery of our maintenance programme.
What do you bring to the role?
- Electrically qualified / technical qualification
- Previous maintenance management within an industrial environment experience
- A clean driver’s licence
- Previous experience managing field-based teams would be advantageous
- Water Industry experience is beneficial
