Michael Page are currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager for a Top Tier Chemical COMAH site in Wigan. You will be tasked with leading a teams of engineers ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out to the companies quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Description
As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Support the effective running of production.
- Manage a team of 6 direct reports and report into the operations manager.
- To accurately complete and update all necessary documentation relating to the Engineering manual in a timely manner, including referencing, SOP's, Risk Assessments, and toolbox talks
- Identification, creation and Implementation of new Safe Operating Procedures, Standard Guidance Procedures, and other associated documentation
- Ensuring Engineering Risk Assessments are reviewed annually and amended if required assist in HAZOP or other Risk assessment required
- Ensure the sites Permit to work systems are adhered to for company employees and external contractors
- Ensure contractors adhere to the company's safe systems of work (Standard RAMS)
- Manage visitors, contractors, insurance inspection visits and suppliers onsite and ensure company instructions are followed
- Manage calibration, testing schedules and associated record keeping
- Manage all engineering regulatory inspection schedules and associated documentation for compliance to the standards required and associated record keeping
- Ensure engineering spares and stores is managed effectively
- Manage site services, Steam, Utilities, Civils, and Ancillaries
- Implement and maintain a high level of housekeeping standards
- Manage and lead projects and improvements
- Immediately report any incident using the appropriate reporting system, trouble-shoot problems, implement and communicate corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner
Profile
A successful Maintenance Manager should have:
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of IOSH managing safety certificate
- Experience of working within a similar field
- A proven track record of managing both teams and projects
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work
Job Offer
- £45,000 - £55,000
