OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Tŷ Hotel Magor team . In this role you will be responsible for keeping the hotel’s facilities, including guest bedrooms, in optimum operating condition by performing preventive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR …
You will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests as advised by the department, being very mindful of Health and Safety legislation. You will also ensure good “work hygiene” to protect guest areas from damage.
You need to be able to plan and prioritise work tasks, with the ability to react to urgent issues as they arise.
You will need to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, with the ability to be a self-starter, with the motivation to ensure that all of the hotel facilities are in good working order.
WHAT YOU’LL DO …
Responsible for the day to day maintenance and repair of the Hotel’s facilities.
Plans the preventative maintenance of the hotels facilities.
Inspects plant, plant rooms and guest areas to identify problems.
Order day to day purchases in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Co-ordinate with Facilities Manager to ensure all facilities are well maintained, in line with current legislation.
Remains up to date with all current legislation and guidance.
Ensures all facilities and associated systems within the hotel are in a safe and serviceable condition and does not pose a health and safety risk to staff or site visitors.
