Maintenance Technician

BRAMLEY HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR A SKILLED FRIENDLY PERSON TO JOIN THEIR TEAM AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/ HANDYMAN.
The Maintenance Technician/ Handyman is essential to the efficiency and safety of our hospital, staff, visitors, and service users.
ABOUT US
Bramley Health is a specialist health and social care provider. We support men and women of working age who pose variations of mental health challenges within our homes, to maximise their independence to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
This role is based at The Langford Centre, which is our hospital based in Bexhill on Sea, that can support up to 73 service users. Split across 6 different wards, they provide care for a mixture of men and women in need.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician/ Handyman will be part of a team, and will carry out maintenance tasks required at our hospital to keep it safe and operational. The role is a combination of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o General repairs and maintenance of grounds and buildings
o Travelling between sites for works
o Painting of vacant rooms as required
o Carrying out health and safety audits
o Liaise with external contractors for completion of specialist tasks
o Implement temporary fixes to ensure a safe environment prior to specialist involvement
SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS;
o Full clean driving license and own vehicle
o Own set of tools
o General maintenance experience basic carpentry, electrics, and plumbing
o Can interact with vulnerable individuals safely and competently
