The Opportunity:
Are you a hands on, practical and well rounded Maintenance Technician who can repair and maintain mechanical and electrical Food Processing equipment in a factory environment?  If you also like DIY and being generally ‘handy’ then this is the ideal role for you.  Based in Honiton, you will use your general maintenance skills on a daily basis.
Job Responsibilities:

• The role of Maintenance Technician in this food processing company can be hugely varied and no two days are the same.
• Tasks include carrying out both electrical and mechanical work such as planned maintenance activity, reacting to breakdowns, finding out and eliminating the root-cause of problems and working on continuous improvement projects.
• Carry out preventive and emergency maintenance tasks within the factory.
• Respond immediately to equipment failures during your shift.
• Conduct systematic, rigorous and accurate fault diagnosis.
• Complete ‘odd job’ or DIY tasks on site.

Requirements:
You will need to be proactive and flexible and whilst there will be regular core hours, you will need to be ready to come into work if there’s a major problem. In the Food Industry if the machines don’t work, the products can’t be manufactured and customers don’t get their deliveries. So flexibility is vital.
