Salary: £10.99 - £12.27 per hour

Male Support Workers – The Role:

As a Support Worker you will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable people to live as independently as possible. You will also be responsible for working with our employment team to facilitate employment opportunities and assisting and supporting people to enjoy an active social life and Jewish observance.

You will be required to work flexible hours which will involve working early and late shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays in accordance with peoples' needs.

Male Support Workers – Key Responsibilities:

- To organise activities that the person wants to engage in, such as Jewish activities, exercise, shopping, cooking, music, gardening and fun

- To enable meaningful work experience

- To support with personal care needs

- To build opportunities and relationships in the local community

- To show people dignity and respect at all times

- To strive to always provide excellent care and individualised support

- To work and learn together in innovative and collaborative teams

- To bring your own interests, creativity and positivity to engage the people we support

team

Male Support Workers – You:

- NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care level 2, or working towards

- Care Certificate or equivalent experience

- Good standard of written English

- Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential

- Holding a current full driving licence is desirable but not essential

- Understanding/awareness of or willingness to learn about Jewish culture is essential

- Full training will be given to the successful applicant
