Management Accountant

After recent growth within this fast-paced pharmaceutical business, I am now looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic team based just outside of Derby (hybrid working on offer) initial on a fixed term contract basis.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal part in the company’s further expansion by looking after several highly profitable entities from a financial perspective while interacting with the Head of Financial Reporting on a regular basis on more strategic based projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for several evolving entities.
• Variance analysis and commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, able to put controls in place.
• Support the Head of Financial Reporting and Group Finance Director with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

Key requirements:

• Qualified / QBE Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.
• Experience as a Management Accountant in a fast-paced environment, preferably with exposure in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ambitious with strong commercial acumen and proven business partnering skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
