Part-Qualified Management Accountant
6-month FTC
Salary: £38,000-£40,000pa
Location: North Manchester
A large manufacturing organisation based in North Manchester are seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. This role will be reporting directly to the FC and is a great opportunity for a candidate who is immediately available or due to finish a contract soon.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly profit & loss accounting and profit & loss variance analysis
* Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
* Preparing and reconciliation of the monthly balance sheet
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns
* Providing financial recommendation to management
* Some involvement with payroll preparation
* Compiling expenditure reports and working in conjunction with departments to set and establish budgets
* Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
* A proven track record of success within a similar role
* QBE or working towards ACCA/ CIMA
* Thorough understanding of management accounts and month end procedures
* Highly organised and analytical
* Ability to work to deadlines and within a busy and fast paced accounts team
* Self-motivated and able to use initiative
* Experience using Navision would be highly advantageous
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £38,000pa - £40,000pa dependant on experience, and this is a great opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing organisation and make a real impact within the finance team, whilst further expanding your skills as a Management Accountant.
