This Role...
The purpose of the Management Accountant role is to assist the Financial Reporting Manager in delivering accurate and reliable monthly management accounts to stakeholders.
What you need to deliver...
• Take full ownership of the monthly accruals for rebates, marketing and other overheads – from calculation through to review and analysis;
• Calculate and review monthly prepayments;
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
• Undertake P&L analysis of overhead costs;
• Support the Financial Reporting Manager in preparing monthly management accounts and reporting pack;
• Maintain various Excel and Power BI financial reports for use by internal stakeholders;
• Assist with ad hoc reporting queries from stakeholders – within the Finance department, in other departments, and from the board;
• Assist with statutory audit requests; and
• Assist the team with Excel ‘how-to’ queries;
What you need to succeed…
• This role will require you to be part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• You will need 1 year experience producing monthly management accounts
• Excellent Excel skills are essential
• Outstanding communication skills
• A proactive and collaborative working style
• (Preferred) experience using business intelligence tools
• (Preferred) experience using Sage and Netsuite
• (Preferred) 3 years’ experience producing monthly management accounts
• (Preferred) experience and knowledge of Power BI
• Experience testing and implementing system improvements
• Resilient in the face of pressure
• You are enthusiastic and have a genuine love for pets
