Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Denton, Tameside (Hybrid) | £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus | Acquisitive SME 
Axon Moore are working with a high growth SME who have created a new role for a Management Accountant to join the team on a full time permanent basis. 
This is an owner managed £40m t/o business that have grown significantly over the last 10 years both organically and through M&A with several sites now operating across the UK. 
To be considered for this role you must be a finalist or qualified. Reporting into a high calibre Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Ownership of accounting for 3 key businesses within the division
• Lead the processing and production of monthly management accounts including production of P&L, balance sheets, cash and business forecasts and related analysis
• Acting as a key business partner with the operational leaders, ensuring accurate business reporting and strong operational/cost control as well as identifying margin improvements and growth opportunities. 
• Prepare budgets including scenario planning and independent challenge. Roll out the approved budgets and ensure the operational team have a full understanding of financial expectations
• Have a focus on controls and improving efficiencies within the Finance department
• Responsibility for balance sheet, including reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Implementation and regular review of balance sheet reconciliations and controls

 Ideal candidate:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified or Finalist 
• Minimum 3-5 years management accounts experience
• Team player with a positive outlook and a willingness to be ‘hands on’
