We are recruiting for a Charitable Trust, who manage care homes and independent living across a number of sites, who are seeking an experienced Management Accountant ideally with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience. This is an interim position initially for 6 months which may be extended.
The role is hybrid, 40% in the office, and you will ideally have a knowledge of social care and/ or healthcare. You will also have to be Qualified – CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA, with experience in a financial management role, although Qualified by Experience with AAT may be considered.
Main Duties
The main duties (but not limited to) are: -
- Ensuring accurate & timely control of financial reporting
- Supporting the Finance Director
- Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations & analysis
- Preparation of management accounts
- Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets & forecasts
- Oversee the Trust’s payroll and pension scheme
- Responsible for the Trust’s cash flow
- Other responsibilities as required
Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a financial management role
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), qualified by experience
- Experience of Sage 50 & Payroll (desirable)
- Project implementation & change management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Background in social care (desirable)
