Our client is a commercial Insurance Broker based in Colchester who pride themselves on providing their clients a first-class bespoke service. With a forward-thinking, consultative approach to insurance broking, they are looking for a quality orientated, proactive individual to join them as a Management Accountant.
Management Accountant
Up to £35k Negotiable DOE | Colchester | Mon-Fri 9-5 (part-time considered) | Hybrid working | Colchester | Start-up / growing Insurance Broker | Friendly, vibrant team
This is a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to bring their expertise to this growing business. You will be responsible for providing management accounts with a wide range of financial reporting, whilst also managing the company’s inhouse finances, working closely with an outsourced accountancy practice. This is an all-encompassing role requiring experience and offering flexibility.
Duties (to include but are not limited too):
- Providing monthly management accounts, with detailed comments on the financial performance of the business (including cash flow forecasting, profit and loss reports and budgets)
- Managing invoicing, bookkeeping, credit control, bank reconciliations, month end and possibly payroll (dependant on experience)
- Analyse company purchases and suppliers to ensure best rates/costs are agreed
- Liaise with external accountancy practice to ensure tax efficiency
Person Specification:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position essential
- Experience providing advice on monthly management accounts essential
- Confident, personable team-player
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, growing dynamic business
- Excellent organisational skills
