Job Description:
iKas International are recruiting on behalf a market renowned banking client who require a Management Accountant to join their Finance team in London, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive management accounting and reporting services for their IT areas. You will support business partnering initiatives and contribute to the overall financial performance of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management, Project Office, and offshore teams to gather and validate monthly expense information.
- Participate in the annual budgeting/forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of budget figures.
- Input budget information into financial systems and validate results with managers, making corrections as necessary.
- Prepare global reports for meetings and provide insightful commentary to regions.
- Attend monthly meetings with COO/N-1s/SPOCs to brief on financial performance.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure consistency in reported costs, headcount analysis, and commentaries.
- Reconcile and control check Global PM figures with Local reporting P&L.
- Review Balance Sheet Recs and Aged accruals to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist offshore teams with coding issues on monthly billing files.
- Provide commentaries for actual, budget, and forecast figures.
- Perform SAP cost reviews for monthly closing.
- Assist internal clients with queries and provide ad hoc assistance as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce variance analysis.
- Committed individual capable of meeting tight deadlines and presenting to senior management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint; macro level knowledge is advantageous.
- Ability to question and challenge the validity and accuracy of data.
- Prior experience in cost accounting and preparation of management commentaries.
- Knowledge of General Ledger systems, SAP experience is essential; experience with Hyperion Essbase/Oracle Smartview and Tagetik is desirable.
