Management Accountant

Blair West is partnering with a growing e-commerce business based in Gateshead as they look to add a Management Accountant to their finance function. Supporting the Head of Finance, the main purpose of this role will be to prepare and analyse financial information to aide decision making, while supporting junior staff member development.

The opportunity:

• Financial reporting and analysis to assist profitability and growth.
• Accurate management reporting to assist with key decision making.
• Production of month-end and year-end journals.
• Monthly management accounts preparation.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.
• Capital expenditure management.
• Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Mentorship and guidance for the wider finance team.
• Ownership of customs bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC.
• Review and continuous improvement of accounting practices and processes.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're:

• Part-Qualified/Finalist, studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
• Experienced with Xero accounting software.
• Highly experienced with MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of GAAP and take attention to detail.
• Experienced in a fast-paced environment preferential.
• Proactive, with strong organisational skills.
