SalaryMy client is seeking a Management Accountant for a temporary maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager – UK & Europe, and will be responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual management accounts, providing analysis and commentary. This role is pivotal in supplying budget holders with the financial information needed to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Monitor and report on the commercial performance of the business.
- Prepare monthly and annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct month-end reconciliations, including bank accounts, sales and purchase ledgers, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare month-end journals and supporting documentation for accruals and prepayments.
- Manage customer rebates and promotional funding processes.
- Provide detailed analysis to budget holders regarding expenditure, aiding in strategic decision-making.
- Qualified/Part-Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role.
- Very strong academic record and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and large ERP accounting software (JD Edwards preferred).
- Office located in Cornwall.
- Contractual hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday with a ½ hour paid lunch break.
- Non-contractual flexi hours scheme with core working hours Monday to Friday.
- Fixed Term Contract: 10-12 months (Maternity Cover)
