MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
HEADINGLEY, LEEDS (3 DAYS REMOTE / 2 DAYS OFFICE)
£40,000 to £45,000 + BENEFITS + STUDY
THE COMPANY:
We’re partnering with a fast-growing business located in the Headingley, Leeds area that is now seeking a Management Accountant as part of their strategic growth plans.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll be reporting to the Finance Manager and overseeing a team of 3 (2 x Ledger Clerks / 1 x Financial Analyst) who will assist you with the delivering on the monthly management accounts. Overseeing the team to ensure highly accurate figures are produced for month end and ensuring that day to day finance tasks are completed.

THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
* As the Management Accountant, you’ll be reporting to the Finance Manager and taking over the responsibility for the leadership of the transactional team.
* Overseeing a team of 3 finance professionals to ensure work is produced to a high standard and to create further efficiencies in the department.
* Producing the Monthly Management Accounts (with the support of the team) for 3 legal entities, including full commentary, data analysis and insights for the SLT.
* Managing the finance transactional team to undertake month end routines including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
* Assisting the Finance Manager with preparing rolling forecasts and sharing with the Senior Leadership team.
* Assisting with intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
* Overseeing the VAT process and submissions to both HMRC and Irish Revenue.
* Prepare weekly payment runs for three purchase ledgers and managing the debtors.
* Responsible Cash forecasting and management
* Margin analysis, Pricing profitability analysis and preparing Sales commission statements
* Assist in preparation of annual accounts and financial audits
THE PERSON:
* Must have experience in a Management Accountant role or similar, such as Finance Business Partner, Senior Accountant or Finance Manager
* Experience of supervising a small team
* Ideally Full or Part CIMA / ACCA Qualified, however, exceptional QBE / Qualified by Experience candidates will be considered.
* Confident communicator to be able to interact with colleagues, customers and suppliers
* Confident working with colleagues at all levels across the wider business and the ability to communicate financial results.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Experience of Sage 50, Xero or similar accounting systems
* Solid Microsoft skills, particularly MS Excel
