LOCATION: Leeds
SALARY: Competitive (Depending on Experience)
HOURS: General office hours (Mon -Fri)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a sales plan which integrates with the regional commercial and projects sales plans.
- Understand sector drivers and opportunities in order to develop strategies and tactics to achieve profitable growth.
- Develop and implement professional account plans for key customers.
- Build and maintain a broad mix of Key Account types including Developers, Architects, Lighting Designers, Electrical Consultants, Main Contractors and Electrical Sub Contractors
- Develop broad based personal contacts in Key Accounts to facilitate effective sales & business development.
- Take ownership of the area sales budget and deliver sales, margin, and mix results in line with agreed objectives.
- Provide high levels of customer service to all key customers.
- Prepare basic lighting designs for all key customer groups.
- Carry out joint and self-generated visits on behalf of key customers to secure pull-through business to agreed levels.
- Adhere to the company stockist distribution strategy, ensuring wherever possible that project business is passed through chosen stockist(s) to maximise profit.
- Actively work to minimise invoice queries/disputes and rapidly resolve them.
- Proactively undertake company-led and self generated continuing development to achieve best in class sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide accurate area projections and develop effective responses to bridge any gaps between projected and budgeted performance.
- Contribute effectively to the overall team working for the region.
- Assist with any other reasonable ad hoc duties of a similar responsibility level as may be allocated to the role from time to time in pursuit of Department efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrable experience of lighting or a related discipline in a specification sales role.
- Able to demonstrate a proven track record in effectively managing a sales area and Key Accounts to achieve profitable growth
- Ideally educated to A level or similar in a technical discipline
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft Office & SeSAM
- Demonstrates a good level of lighting and electrical knowledge
- Able to carry out lighting designs and design briefs
- Relationship building, account management and networking skills
- Demonstrates a developed commercial awareness
- Good presentation, negotiation and communication skills
