Management Accountant Manager

Our client is a highly respected employer in the local area and they are currently recruiting for a rare role heading up a small team in the engine room of finance. Managing a team of four, this position will be integral in ensuring that the management information for a key business unit is produced in a timely manner whilst working closely with stakeholders. Duties will include Leading business planning and management accounting processesEnsuring workload is allocated appropriately within team Working closely with Head of FP&A on development of FP&A strategy Developing and maintaining controls and monitoring performanceLeading month end processTaking lead on forecasting Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results and working closely with business partnering teamMentoring and developing team Ad hoc reporting The successful candidate will be a post-qualified accountant with proven experience leading a small team and a high degree of technical prowess. Exposure working in a large business with a complex structure would be highly beneficial as you will be responsible for a large budget in this role. The ability to look at the big picture while also ensuring that the team operates as a unit rather than a group of individuals. A curious and inquisitive nature is imperative, systems work well already but there is always room for improvement and innovation. Advanced IT skills are a must and there is an impending upgrade to a state of the art ERP in 2024.
