You will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance - it's an opportunity to fast-track your development and progression under the supportive wing of an encouraging and talented mentor.
It would suit someone part qualified or finalist level (ACCA or CIMA). You’ll be gaining valuable practical accounting exposure in parallel to your ongoing studies. It’s a hands on but broad and involved role with exposure to non finance colleagues across the business. A chance to gain rounded management accounting and financial reporting skills and transition into commercially-focused business partnering. You'll be discussing key financial info and MI with the non finance managers and you will help shine a light on areas to improve performance, enhance profit, manage spending and cost drivers -- hugely valuable experience at a relatively early stage of your career.
You’ll be particularly involved in the financial management for a recently acquired subsidiary and you will effectively be finance manager for that particular bite-sized SME within the group… giving you chance to take responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, value added analysis & reporting, year end etc.
It’s a rapid growth group (25%+ year on year growth) and so there is major headroom for development and career enhancement.

You need to:
- Be studying toward a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent) or have recently qualified.
- Have gained practical month end accounting / management accounts experience and have a solid foundation of core financial / management accounting and reporting experience.
- Have excellent analytical skills and be confident using Excel.
- Be a team player who enjoys communicating with non finance colleagues.
