Role Overview
We are actively seeking a talented Management Accountant to join the dynamic finance team of the Compassionate Care Group. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in providing financial support across the group's businesses. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team consisting of a Finance Assistant and Finance Apprentice.
Mentorship: Provide mentorship and development support to junior finance team members, conducting regular 1-2-1s and overseeing Personal Development Plans.
Financial Administration: Oversee the production of monthly management accounts for all group companies, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliation.
Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for margin improvement.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations through the production of quarterly VAT returns and supporting with the annual audit and statutory reporting.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to procedures, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency.
Issue Resolution: Take ownership of issue resolution and serve as the escalation point for any financial queries.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the team with budgeting and forecasting, contributing to the strategic financial planning of the organisation.
System Implementation: Assist in the implementation of a new finance system to elevate financial operations.
The Ideal Candidate
Part qualified CIMA/ACCA (later stage qualification).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Management Accountant.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Proven technical accounting knowledge.
Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly in Excel.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
Willingness to contribute to the broader business goals as a team player with a friendly and open manner.
