Are you a numbers whiz looking to make a difference in the public sector? Look no further! We're seeking a talented Financial Business Partner/Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in North Birmingham for a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.
Role Overview:
As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting month-end processes, providing insightful financial analysis, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on our organisation's financial performance.
Responsibilities:
Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and analyse financial performance.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and timely financial information.
Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Good technical accounting skills
- Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary £33,000 to £40,000 per annum, dep on experience
