Job Description
· Lead a team and manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
· Ensure delivery of high-quality accounting services and financial reporting.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and provide tailored solutions.
· Contribute to business development activities, driving growth and profitability.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
· Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
· Participate in internal projects and initiatives to improve processes and services.
· Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting standards and regulations.
· Preparation, review and /submission of complex management accounts and VAT returns/MTD declarations.
· Manage a varied client base, ensuring deadlines are met and relationships are managed and developed, ensuring each client receives a bespoke service, and procedures are reviewed on a regular basis.
· Ensure trainees are supported and there is a continuous development plan and regular feedback in place.
· Assist juniors in managing workflow and organisation of duties and tasks.
· Review procedures to streamline processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Manager in the Business Services Team should have:
· A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA or equivalent)
· Proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
· Excellent client relationship and management skills.
· Business development and commercial acumen.
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
