SalaryWe’re looking for someone with experience in the Supported Housing sector to join us as Manager to lead and manage our Supported Housing Services on the Isle of Wight. You will need to be able to work in a challenging and demanding environment to meet the housing and support needs of people living with addiction, complex behaviours, learning disability and autism.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and directly line manage staff including supervision, appraisals, absence management and monitoring, and providing appropriate support and training to ensure continuing personal and professional development
- Ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures and to support staff with management or supervisory responsibilities in carrying out these duties
- Consider all factors influencing the delivery of support Housing Services in a changing environment and to recommend to the Head of Care & Support Services ways of accommodating any necessary changes or improvements to service delivery
- Monitor the performance of and progress of services, using contracts, local and national guidance and report any deviance from the regulations
What you’ll need:
- Experience of working in the Supported Housing Sector
- Experience of leading and supporting teams within complex and challenging environments and have the skills and expertise to support managers
- Have extensive knowledge of legislation relevant to the provision of specialist housing, care and support
- A proven ability to manage risk
- Proven ability to act with solutions focus and innovate to meet resident needs and be able to receive and respond to resident feed back and complaints professionally at all times
The location:
You will be based at our office in Newport, Isle of Wight, although travel between the schemes/services will be required. You may be required to travel to offices off Island to meet business needs.
