Location: London

Mandarin speaking Project Director - What You'll be Doing Each Day:

• Represent the Chairman and the Company through effective liaison and co-operation with the design team and other contractors engaged on the project.
• Drive ongoing review of needs and requirements of the Project, including design standards, value engineering, life cycle costing, sustainability, performance criteria, financial criteria, programming and phasing, the method of construction procurement and marketing, sales and letting criteria.
• Draw up criteria for the selection of Other Consultants. Upon approval by the Chairman of the persons to whom the selection procedure will apply and the selection criteria, to undertake the approved selection procedure.
• recommendation to the Chairman for the appointment of proposed Other Consultants.
• Check the professional indemnity insurance of all members of the Other Consultants in relation to the Project on their appointment and on the dates for renewal of such insurance.
• Put in place formalised, structured, design meetings with the relevant Other Consultants to progress the design and provide a forum to provide regular feedback on the evolving design as against the Design Brief and the Budget.
• Procure advice for the Chairman on any requirements for sectional completion and/or early handover of parts of the Works and ensure that the Building Contract takes proper account of those requirements.
• Monitor the Contractor in the performance of its obligations under the Building Contract, give appropriate instructions and information to the Contractor where appropriate.
• Arrange and attend together with the appropriate members of the Other Consultants and the Contractor regular inspections of the Works and make representations to the Other Consultants and the Contractor concerning any matters.
• Review applications for payment from the Contractor and Other Consultants to check them against the Cashflow and Budget.
• Manage and coordinate the obtaining of such reports and quotes so as to ensure the Chairman has reasonably sufficient time to put in place the decennial insurance.
• Initiate the preparation and updating of the Budget for inclusion in the Business Plan, and procure input from the Cost Consultant, Sales and Marketing Manager and Other Consultants as required to facilitate such update.

Working hours: 9 to 6 with 1 hour lunch break
