Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead in Special Equipment required to join the existing team at a leading manufacturerResponsible for the daily management and performance of the specially designed equipment Manufacturing Engineering teamLead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure an efficient production process through evolving and introducing suitable manufacturing processes
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Drive collaborative working with other support departments to resolve issues impacting the manufacturing process• Lead major change projects that support goals through improvement strategies• Keen focus on budgetary adherence, performance, and driving out recurrent waste• Implement lean initiatives within the business with emphasis on the development of production processes• Lead investigations and relay information to all levels in the business• Interpret drawings to provide dimensional inspection or manufacturing requirements• Implement Manufacturing Engineering specifications, processes, and best practices throughout documentation
Requirements
• Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent• Good understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes and techniques• Confident leading teams of people – prior experience is essential• Experienced in the use of lean methodologies and tools• Previous experience in setting and achieving manufacturing business plans and KPIs• Use skills matrix's to develop personal and team development plans• Audit awareness, able to represent Manufacturing Engineering function during audits• Experienced in change management, project management, and leading improvement teams
