Hours & Shifts:
Monday - Friday
6am - 2pm / 2pm -10pm on a rotating shift pattern
Pay Rate: £10.42 per hour ( Once fully trained increases to £10.75 per hour)
Main Purpose of the job:
To provide the Production department with operational support in the day to day running of the packing/process lines.
Main duties/responsibilities of the job:
- To operate machines when required.
- To direct and assist in setting up and during machine changeovers.
- To be responsible for the correct and accurate completion of all paperwork associated with running the packing/process machines.
- To carry out all basic machine adjustments and optimisation.
- To ensure correct procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- To assist and contribute to line improvement projects/initiatives, and to be involved in problem solving activities.
- To monitor machines and ensure correct speeds, temperatures and parameters are set.
- To ensure that correct ingredient weights are adhered to and that every function of the operation you carry out is done accurately and diligently.
- To play an active role in the reduction of waste and improvement of efficiency in the Packing/Process area.
- To ensure all associated quality checks are carried out correctly and recorded accurately on the relevant paperwork.
- To confirm availability of materials before production run.
- To ensure product is packed correctly during production run and to clean machine to the desired changeover and allergen cleaning standards.
- To comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- To provide basic guidance for new starters.
- To carry out any other reasonable requests to meet the needs of the business.
