Job Title: Manufacturing Production Engineer
Shift: 15:00 - 11:00 (Monday to Friday) Plenty of overtime available (Saturday X half & Sunday double time)
Salary: £37,000 to £39,500 per annum (Dependant on experience)
Primary Objective:
To ensure that all plant and machinery is maintained and operates to the highest level of efficiency and safety.
Role Responsibilities:
- Follow cGMP and relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure that all plant and machinery is repaired promptly
- Ensure that all machine changes are carried out correctly and promptly
- Advise on the most productive use of machinery
- Assist in the investigation of complaints, both internally and externally, and help in the prevention of recurrences
- Complete all documentation as required by GMP, including filling in machine logs and maintaining a file of machine repairs and modifications
- Assist in the preparation of quotations by providing relevant information and guidance
- Attend and input into the daily scheduling meetings
- Assist with training and the preparation of training programmes when required
- Ensure that the Planned Preventative Maintenance System is implemented and followed
- Ensure that the stock of authorised spares is maintained and advise on spares that are required
Skills & Competencies:
- Extensive engineering experience within a production environment
- Ability to deliver effective engineering solutions
- Proactive in developing improvements to benefit line efficiencies
- Competent PC skills
- Professional handling of all Production Engineering issues
- Good attention to detail when finding engineering solutions to support production
- Strong organisational skills for workload management
- Flexible in supporting business needs
- Uses initiative to drive improvements
Relationships:
The position reports directly into the Engineering Manager. The Engineer has a direct working relationship with the management of Production, Customer Services and Warehouse. These relationships are critical to the success of the business.
