£30,000 - £35,000 p/a, Uckfield, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:45pm / 3:15pm finish on a Friday, full time, permanent, 24 days holiday + bank holidays, discretionary bonus scheme, pension scheme and free parking.
We are delighted to be working with an established client based conveniently in Uckfield who are seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee the full returns process, as well as monitor the inspection process of all manufactured products. This will be a busy role reporting to the Quality, Environment and Continuous Improvement Manager, and manage the development and compliance of quality assurance standards and procedures in line with ISO9001 & ISO14001. Role will also include:
- Manage, investigate and report on all customer returns, following through until replacements/credits are issued
- Manage the development and compliance of quality assurance standards in line with ISO9001 & ISO14001
- Audit inspection of all incoming and outoing areas while tracking KPIs
- Drive corrective and preventative actions to address QA issues
- Undertake supplier quality reviewing and visits to ensure high quality supply chain
Requirements
You must have mechanical/product based manufacturing and quality experience. The suitable candidate will offer extensive experience in a quality based role for a manufacturing company and have knowledge in reading technical drawings. You will need to have worked to ISO9001 and ISO14001 as well as have exposure to root cause investigation and associated problem solving. You will need to be detail orientated and possess excellent communication skills. You will also be a trained auditor.
