Job description

A long term contract opportunity has arisen for a Maritime NEC Project Manager to join a leading player in the maritime industry, specializing in the design, construction, and management of cutting-edge maritime infrastructure projects. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of clients. The company is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maritime NEC Project Manager to join its dynamic team to work on a multi-million pound port project in the Falkland Islands. This position will, however, be based in the UK with occasional visits to the Falkland Islands. This a full-time role offering 37.5 hours of work per week and falls outside IR35.


The role
 
The Maritime NEC Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of maritime infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with NEC (New Engineering Contract) standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in project management within the maritime sector, a deep understanding of NEC contracts, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. The NEC Accreditation is essential for this role.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Lead and manage a multi-million port project in accordance with NEC contract guidelines.
·Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
·Coordinate and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
·Monitor project progress and performance, implementing necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
·Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
·Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
·Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
·Resolve any project-related issues promptly and effectively.
·Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and support to project team members.
 
Requirements
 
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
·Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the maritime industry.
·In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and their application in maritime projects.
·Strong understanding of maritime infrastructure and construction processes.
·Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
·Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
·Proficient in project management software and tools.
·NEC Accreditation
·Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
·Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
