Marketing Assistant [Apprenticeship]

About The Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic Marketing team. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various marketing initiatives, events and campaigns, assisting with market research, content creation, and coordinating marketing activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and contribute to the growth of our organisation.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and target audience preferences.
• Help create compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, blogs, newsletters, and website material.
• Coordinate and create various internal and external marketing materials, including presentation decks, invitations, promotional items, handbooks, policies and more.
• Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
• Assist in organising and attending marketing events, such as conferences, charity events and networking functions when required.
• Support the creation and implementation of email marketing campaigns and customer relationship management (CRM) activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
• Assist in managing social media platforms, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.
• Conduct regular competitor analysis and stay up-to-date with industry trends to identify new opportunities.
• Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organising files and documents.

The Ideal Candidate

• School leaver qualification or above in marketing, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a marketing or related role is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms, such as social media management tools (LinkedIn), content management systems (CMS), and email marketing software.
• Basic understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, and email marketing.
• Experience using Adobe suite and/or Canva is advantageous
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to track marketing performance and generate insights.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
