Marketing Communications Manager
Description
We are looking for a talented Marketing Communications Manager to join our team in Peterborough at the headquarters of STAMFORD | AvK, the market-leading alternator manufacturer business unit of Cummins. Joining our global Marketing function, you will lead our Marketing Communications team, to influence strategies around our Brand, Campaigns, Communications and Events.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Leading the Marketing Communications function to deliver global communications strategy according to business strategies and objectives.
Responsibility for global Marketing Communications and brand strategy, campaign definition, go-to-market execution, global team alignment, and ultimate delivery against set targets/goals using marketing and business planning toolset.
Managing, coaching and mentoring direct reports; providing guidance and direction, delegating work appropriately.
Leading digital strategy to develop digital channel activity and optimisation of marketing technology stack.
Leading and coaching on project, account, vendor management.
Building, leading, and strengthening relationships with stakeholders/leaders/vendors.
Building, leading, executing strategic communications planning
Identifying, coaching, and managing process improvement and functional excellence.
Simplifying complex messages across multiple stakeholders.
Writing, editing, and creating content and strategic messaging and adhering to relevant style guide.
Managing and maintaining budget/financials.
Preparing and executing event planning and event logistics.
Leading functional trainings, creating and delivering presentations.
Setting targets for data-driven decisions; compiling, analysing, and utilising metrics, data, and analytics.
Solving problems and managing cross-functional relationships.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Brand management - Creates competitive advantage through brand recognition; positions the brand to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations; applies brand standards to create a consistent perception and defend the company reputation.
Creative communication design - Presents information from a variety of sources in a compelling message through storytelling to engage target audiences; applies the appropriate tools and media types to create effective, high-quality visual and experiential media.
Data analytics - Discovers, interprets and communicates qualitative and quantitative data; determines conclusions relying on knowledge of business or functional frameworks; simultaneously applies statistics, data validity, data visualization, and problem-solving approaches to effectively extract meaningful patterns and business insights; presents conclusions and outcomes that enable data driven business decisions.
Digital media savvy - Leverages current and emerging digital media strategies (e.g., email automation, social media, content management systems, etc.) to influence buyer behavior or target audiences to a desired action.
Experience:
Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required.
Global scale B2B experience preferred.
Experience of digital marketing, including digital marketing strategy and marketing technology, such as CRM, email, social, CMS and analytics platforms.
Experience in managing, coaching, and developing staff; working with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
Identifying department issues, problems, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Developing and managing budget, financial controls, and risk ensuring operations are executed efficiently and within established budgets.
You will be rewarded with:
Up to £65,000 - dependent on experience
