A newly established role in SMT GB’s Business Development team, reporting to the Business Development Director you’ll play a crucial part in managing and overseeing our communication strategies and activities. This is not a defined role, so you’ll have lots of opportunity to put your stamp on the position.
With 2 direct reports you’ll be collaborating with stakeholders on brand enhancement and developing a comprehensive marketing communication strategy. Responsible for ensuring consistency in our brand messaging, you’ll be building positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage and generate publicity: Other responsibilities include:
• Overseeing digital marketing initiatives and creating engaging content across media channels; social media, website, press releases, email campaigns, marketing material, and press releases
• Conducting market research and providing analysis of data and findings
• Supporting Regional sales teams with market understanding and opportunities
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and integration of communication efforts
Requirements
With proven experience in Marketing Communications and B2B, ideally from the automotive or construction sectors, you’ll have the ability to work collaboratively at all levels, the confidence to take the initiative and the skills to enhance and improve. We are also looking for your:
• Ability to create and execute online marketing initiatives and social media campaigns
• Project Management skills and ability to work on numerous projects concurrently
• Commercial awareness
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make recommendations
• Strong coaching skills
Travel and occasional overnight stays will be required along with a valid driving licence for driving in the UK.
