Marketing & Communications Officer
Reports to: Business Development Manager
Responsible for: Planning, executing, and overseeing marketing and communication strategies
Location: Flexible locations across the North East
Salary: Circa £27,000 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Job Summary
As a key member of their Business Development Team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing marketing and communication strategies to promote their mission, raise awareness, support the project team and drive in particular corporate engagement and investment.
Key Tasks
Key Responsibilities
Provision of a range of administration support to the Regional Property Manager to support delivery of the Facilities service provision across all sites, including:
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans with Head of Business Development to effectively promote their initiatives, events, and campaigns across various channels, including digital platforms, social media, email, and traditional media outlets.
- Content Creation: Create compelling and impactful content, including written materials, graphics, videos, and visuals, that resonates with our target audience and conveys their mission and impact.
- Social Media Management: Manage and maintain their social media presence, including content scheduling, business to business / business to customer engagement, and monitoring performance metrics to drive growth
- Public Relations: Work alongside with their external PR agency to support them securing coverage which will create opportunities for them Groundwork to be featured in relevant news outlets and publications.
- Website Management: With support from the Business Development team oversee their website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines to drive traffic and increase online visibility.
- Campaigns and Communications: Develop and execute their business development and project campaigns and communication strategies to nurture relationships, express gratitude, and encourage ongoing support
- Brand Management: Maintain and uphold the their brand identity and guidelines across all communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse marketing efforts' performance, providing reports to the Head of Business Development and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Integrate with wider teams and share knowledge/best practice to benefit the organisation
Additional responsibilities
- A commitment to maintaining Continuous Professional Development
- Keep up to date with best practice in marketing and comply with relevant legislation and regulation e.g. GDPR, social media policy and photo permission policy.
- Comply with all organisational policy, procedures and systems.
- To be aware of, and assume the appropriate level of responsibility for, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and to report any concerns in accordance with the organisation’s safeguarding policies
- Ability to work outside normal office hours.
- Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.
